Eight tented retreats follow the line of the ridge above the Kakumbi floodplain, each raised on its own wooden platform so the plain and the lodge's waterhole stay in view from the bed, the bath, and the deck. Canvas, engineered bamboo, and lightweight timber keep concrete to a minimum and let the structures sit lightly on the land. Every retreat has a private plunge pool, indoor and outdoor showers, and a stair up to its own rooftop star bed.

Safari Retreats measure 65 to 75 m² with a small sitting area and work desk. Puku Ridge welcomes guests aged 12 and older sharing with an adult, and is open from 1 April to 30 November. Laundry is included, and in-room spa treatments and private dining on your deck are available on request.
The Star Bed
A stair from the deck climbs to the upper tower of every retreat, where a private star bed waits for nights spent sleeping out above the plain. The bed is made up after dinner for anyone who wants to fall asleep under the Luangwa sky, weather and your guide's advice permitting.
