Lolelunga Private Reserve is a wilderness along the Lunga River, where a landscape once under pressure is being given room to recover. The reserve is restoring natural ecosystems and nurturing the return of indigenous wildlife. It is still actively healing, and the lodge exists to share that recovery with a small number of guests. A place where rewilding, wildlife and thoughtful hospitality come together.

The wild returns to the Lunga
Lolelunga is a wilderness sanctuary spanning 30,000 hectares and 24km of river frontage. It delivers an intimate and private contemporary safari experience tailored for exclusive use by couples, individuals, groups or families. The spacious riverside suites offer a secluded haven to relax in, while the guest area has a serene infinity pool on the riverbank, a dining area overlooking the mesmerising Lunga River, a fully equipped gym, and a well-appointed spa, with a double treatment room and outdoor shower.
Game drives head out in the early morning or late afternoon, and the timing follows the movement of the wildlife. You can walk the reserve in the cooler morning hours, fish or canoe, or take a relaxed boat trip on the river. Community and conservation experiences are available on request.

The Ngoma Deck sits alone above the river. Book it for a private dinner, or stay the night in a bed made up beneath the stars with nothing between you and the sky.
Your guide stays within call, the lanterns burn low, and the reserve carries on around you until first light.

Access & Location
Lusaka Connection
Private charter flights from Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka land on Lolelunga's 1.1km gravel airstrip in about 1 hour 15 minutes. You're met on arrival and driven to the lodge in an open game-viewing vehicle, which takes 10 minutes.
