Bird Watching
The river braids and riverine forest of the Lower Zambezi hold a dazzling, ever-changing bird list.
Between the river, the floodplain and the escarpment behind, Lolebezi sits in remarkably varied birding country. Fish eagles own the soundtrack; kingfishers and bee-eaters work the banks; and the summer migration fills the winterthorns with colour.
Birding here is best done gently — from the boat at drifting pace, or on foot in the riverine forest — and the guides adjust to any level of interest.
