Ngoma Deck Stargazing

An evening — or a whole night — on the Ngoma Deck beneath one of the darkest skies in Zambia.

Deep inside a private reserve, with no settlement for miles, the night sky above Lolelunga is close to absolute. The Ngoma Deck is built for it: raised over the bush, laid with beds and blankets, and pointed straight up.

Stay for a guided hour among the southern constellations, or commit to the full sleepout and let the reserve's night shift — hyena whoops, hippo moving up from the river — narrate you to sleep.
