Game Drives & Sundowners
Day and night drives across the Kakumbi floodplain — closed each evening by a sundowner poured wherever the light is best.
Puku Ridge looks over one of the South Luangwa's most productive floodplains, and the game viewing starts before you leave the deck. Drives head out at dawn and again in the late afternoon, rolling into night drives under spotlight as the valley changes shift.
The sundowner drive is the ritual the ridge is known for: a bend in the river or a lone baobab, a table unpacked from the vehicle, and the last of the light doing the rest.
